Bamboo Blend Performance Shirts

There is a persistent claim that bamboo is a moisture-wicking performance fibre. It is not, and the reason is simple physics: regenerated cellulose has high moisture regain, so it absorbs water into the fibre and holds it. That is why it feels cool and pleasant on the skin, and it is the opposite of wicking, which moves moisture to the surface where it can evaporate.

So a genuine performance shirt with bamboo in it is a blend, and the polyester content is doing the wicking while the bamboo is doing the hand feel. We state the split rather than selling you the fibre myth, and we will happily tell you when a straight polyester shirt is the better answer for what you are describing.

The blend brings one printing problem worth naming. Polyester disperse dye migrates under cure heat, so white ink on a dark blend can turn pink weeks after delivery.
