Custom bamboo shirts questions, answered.
Everything buyers ask before they order — minimums, timings, artwork and print options.
What is the minimum order?
Our minimum order is just 12 shirts, with bulk tiers as quantities grow. Blends, wovens and embroidered styles all carry the same minimum.
How fast will my bamboo shirts arrive?
Your free mockup lands within 24 hours and shirts ship in about 2 weeks. Woven button-downs and embroidered polos can add a few days, and we confirm a real ship date in writing before you commit rather than after.
Why is the label going to say rayon or viscose?
Because that is what the fibre is. Bamboo for soft apparel is dissolved and regenerated into cellulose filament, so US labelling requires the generic name — rayon made from bamboo, or viscose from bamboo. Only mechanically processed bast fibre may be labelled bamboo on its own, and it feels like coarse linen. We label correctly and put the fibre content on the quote.
Is bamboo fabric antibacterial or odour-resistant?
We will not make that claim on your garment. Regulators have taken action over antibacterial and antimicrobial wording on regenerated bamboo fabric, because the chemistry of the plant does not survive the process that makes the fibre. Bamboo feels cool and pleasant against skin and that is a good enough reason to buy it.
Which blend should I choose?
More bamboo for hand feel, more cotton for stability and print range, polyester in the mix only where you genuinely need wicking. We ask what the shirt is for, recommend a ratio against that, and state the exact split and the knit weight in GSM on the quote so a reorder actually repeats.
Will my print crack on this fabric?
Not if it is printed for the fabric. The failure people have seen is a thick plastisol slab on a fluid viscose knit, which sits as a plaque and cracks along the drape lines. We use a soft-hand ink that sinks in where the fibre allows, and where a design is too dense for the knit we say so at mockup instead of shipping it.
Why did white ink on a dark shirt turn pink?
Dye migration from polyester in the blend. Disperse dye sublimes under cure heat and moves into the ink, so the white shifts days or weeks after delivery. A low-bleed underbase with a lower cure and a longer dwell prevents it, and we build that into every dark blend as standard.
Are these organic, sustainable or performance garments?
They are soft, comfortable shirts, and we would rather sell them on that. Organic only where a certificate exists that we can show you; no antibacterial, antimicrobial, odour-eliminating or UV claims; no wicking claim unless there is polyester doing the work; and nothing here is flame-resistant, medical or PPE. Where you need a certified garment we will say so and point you to the right supplier.
